5. Provision of an all round-education (academically, spiritually, physically and socially) to ensure the 'healthy' child.

Academics and Facilities

All academic work which includes class work, homework and continuous assessments will be evaluated by the teachers and assigned a letter grade. Parents/guardians are advised to encourage independent work by their Wards. All homework and projects must be done by the learners supervised by the parents. Any homework not properly signed by the parents will not be graded. Learners will take examination at the end of each term.

We subscribe to the Montessori system of education as an effective teaching method for lasting positive impact on the learner . We also subscribe to the Biblical instruction which states that ' Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it Proverbs 22:6 for inculcating biblical truth for sound moral Christian character in the learner.

Parents will be acquainted with their children's academic progress on-line and through correspondence and during the open-day sessions. Local Languages will also form part of the academic work of the learners. Each learner will be taught and encouraged to learn the approved local Languages. This may be tested during the examination. Parents involvement is an integral part of the learners education. Parents and the community are seen as 'partners in education'. A free flowing communication between the home and the school is encouraged and welcomed.

The facilities availabe are: Modern teaching aids, Maximum of 24 Children in a class, Conducive learning environment, Qualified and Friendly teachers, Local/National Language Lessons, Snacks Shop, Administrative block, Catering service, Well equipped, Basic Science and Technology Lab, Chemistry/ Biology lab, Physics lab, Sick bay, Playground, Multi-purpose hall and Transport System (Bus).

Admission

Admission is open to learners who are successful in the placement test administered by the school. The following procedures should be observed in securing admission: Purchase and complete the school's application form, Submit to a placement test, and finally, Read and sign an undertaking indicating agreement to the values of the school. KIA is open to all learners , irrespective of race, religion, colour, or gender, provided the learners and parents/guardians subscribe to the mission statement, goals and statement of beloef of the school.
